On October 25, 2021, the The College of Arts and Sciences Office of Distance Education hosted a teaching forum to discuss formative and summative assessment in distance learning courses. Faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences shared their experiences with alternative assessment methods and a staff expert from the Center for the Study of Teaching and Writing shared effective strategies for assessing student learning.
