Bob Mick joined the ASC Office of Distance Education as the Distance Education Program Consultant in September 2024. Previously, he served as the Director of Professional and Distance Education Programs in the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University. In that role, which he held since 2013, he spearheaded the development and management of the college’s executive education and workforce development programs, including two online professional master’s degrees, twenty non-credit certification programs and short courses (both online and in-person), and five online 24-week boot camps.

Bob has been working in higher education for the past 25 years including eight years in Executive Education with The Fisher College of Business where he was the Program Director for the Master of Business Operational Excellence degree, and the Program Coordinator in the Executive MBA program. Before entering academia, he spent 15 years in the private sector working in manufacturing and retail management and as a Worldwide Travel Agent for the Toledo AAA.  

Outside of work, Bob enjoys traveling, biking, playing tennis, walking his dogs, gardening, reading classic novels and mystery books, and tackling various DIY projects at home.
