Description:
The College of Arts and Sciences Office of Distance Education will host a Teaching Forum to discuss best practices for organizing online course experiences in CarmenCanvas. As online courses have become more common, and learning management systems (LMS) more capable, course organization has transitioned away from a model that views the LMS as a repository of course documents to a model that views an LMS as a space for curating learning experiences.
Faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences and university staff experts will share their experiences designing their courses in Carmen and their best advice for shaping a learning experience for students that is engaging, transparent, and serves the instructor’s learning goals for students.
