As the Electronic Learning Development Senior Specialist, she will help manage the ASC educational technology teaching toolsets, facilitate the review and requisition of both new and existing tools, and coordinate with ASC faculty and instructors regarding their instructional technology needs.

With over 10 years of experience working in higher education, she’s familiar with the standards of education and curricular development, including instructional design pedagogy, and distance education and technology-enabled teaching. Kayla understands the importance of assessing instructional needs and identifying appropriate digital solutions to produce and deliver dynamic and inclusive learning materials for a variety of disciplines to create an equitable learning environment.

Prior to her current role at Ohio State, Kayla served as the Learning Designer for Otterbein University. In addition to Otterbein, her previous work experience includes Online Learning Librarian at Wright State University and Reference and Instruction Librarian at Columbus State Community College. She is currently set to start her Doctor of Education, Interprofessional Leadership & Cultural Foundations of Education program at Kent State University in the Summer of 2025.

When she’s not working, Kayla can be found reading, watching superhero or Disney movies, reruns of her favorite TV shows, and hanging out with her husband and pup.
