Kerry Joined ODE in 2025, after having served the College of Medicine as an Instructional Design Senior Specialist for 5 years. Kerry has held a wide range and depth of roles including high school English teacher, ed tech project manager at the two largest educational publishers in the world, instructional designer, and educational researcher.
Currently, Kerry leads a team of ODE instructional designers and an instructional design multi-media specialist in the promotion of instructional design based in learning science using ID models such as SAM, ADDIE, and Mayer’s principles. Kerry co-leads cross-functional collaborations involving pedagogy with the Emerging Tech Studio in the creation of immersive learning courses that solve multiple instructional and learning problems and leads initiatives to integrate Title II requirements and UDL approaches in courses. Kerry introduced evaluation and formal pedagogy in instructional design projects that span the College of Arts and Sciences (ASC). Kerry leads the strategic vision of her team in the areas of consultation, support models, academic integrity, and project management for instructional design and multimedia production. She advances the team's ability to act as key supports for educational theory and practice in online, hybrid, and in person classes in both the credit and non-credit offerings within the college and oversees a portfolio of teaching service offerings. Kerry enjoys providing her team with key professional development and project management skills in leading and advancing project quality and efficiency. Kerry also leads and empowers team conference proposals and presentations on the national, regional, and local stages.
